Lead Physical Therapist

Zhicheng “Z” Zheng is a licensed physical therapist, Board-Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Z earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from New York University. He has an interest in treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries including rehabilitation after surgery, and strives to help his patients reach their goals and return to doing what they love. Z is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association sports section, and holds certifications in Selective Functional Movement Assessment Level 1 and RockTape FMT 1 and 2 for kinesiology taping. Z also has years of experience volunteering in the medical tents for the NYC Marathon.
Z’s passion for service and helping others stems from his experience as a firefighter/EMT in his home country of Singapore, as well as at his undergraduate alma mater – University of California, Davis. There, Z obtained his Bachelors of Science in Exercise Biology while playing competitive volleyball with the UC Davis men’s volleyball club team. Z also served as a team manager and practice player for the UC Davis Division I women’s basketball team and held internship positions in sports medicine and emergency medicine research. Z remains an avid basketball and volleyball player in New York City and competes in adult leagues. His other recreational hobbies include cycling, hiking, and snowboarding. Z is also a volunteer firefighter/EMT in North Stamford, Connecticut.
