Associate Executive Director
Janet Christenson has worked in the health care industry for over 25 years, earning her Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is currently the Associate Executive Director of the Nicholas Institute of Sports Medicine and Athletic Trauma (NISMAT) responsible for budget and revenue operations, strategic planning, program development, and community outreach. With a focus on quality and patient experience, Janet leads a team of clinical and clerical professionals running day-to-day operations as well as supporting the Research arm of NISMAT.
Janet also serves as the AED of other service lines at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Additionally, she manages selected projects for senior administration at Lenox Hill Hospital. Janet’s extensive experience in the area of health care administration has earned her leadership roles on strategic committees such as Patient Satisfaction and Service Excellence Committees while participating in organization capstones and community outreach projects. She is a member of several health care Professional Organizations including the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).
